The Old Chapel brings together a welcoming coffee shop with two characterful Victorian chapels, offering distinct and private spaces designed for post funeral wakes and celebrations of life.
The cemetery was established in 1864 and exudes a peaceful tranquillity among its ancient trees. Once your funeral service has concluded at the nearby Crematorium, you and your fellow mourners can gather at The Old Chapel, where we can serve a buffet or afternoon tea, along with refreshments suited to a solemn occasion.
Our location
Being within a 2 minutes walk of the town’s crematorium, and with ample parking available, the facilities are both convenient for families and mourners, as well as offering beautiful Cotswold stone spaces in which to honour the life of a loved one.
Our facilities
Our two chapels can accommodate up to 75 and 150 guests respectively, offering flexible spaces for both small and larger gatherings, while the on-site coffee shop provides a welcoming place to gather before the funeral for a drink and light refreshment.
The South Chapel
The South Chapel is our larger room, providing a calm and respectful setting suitable for larger gatherings. The space has been carefully restored to retain its historic character while offering a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The North Chapel
The North Chapel is a more intimate space, ideal for smaller gatherings. It offers a quiet and private setting, with the same thoughtful restoration and atmosphere as the South Chapel.
